Both are agentic coding tools. Both ship a desktop app, an IDE extension, a CLI and a web surface. Really enjoyed Dr Alvin Ang's Machine Learning 101 for Financial Trading course. He has a jovial and engaging teaching style that makes even complex machine learning concepts easy to understand — we were never bored! What I found especially valuable was how he clearly showed where and how machine learning fits into the different stages of an AI trading system. The conceptual materials and sample Python codes shared were also very useful for further learning and experimentation after the course. A fair note for anyone considering the course: this is not a course on profitable trading strategies. It focuses on the fundamental building blocks of data-driven systematic trading, which I think is exactly what beginners need to build a solid foundation. Highly recommended for beginners, or anyone looking to refresh their ML knowledge and understand how it is being applied to systematic trading today. Thanks, Dr Alvin, for the great insights and enjoyable learning experience!
I had the opportunity to attend Dr Alvin Ang's R Tidyverse Data Analytics and Visualization training, and I found him to be a very insightful and knowledgeable trainer. What I appreciated most was how he connected the technical concepts with practical, real-world applications. He went beyond simply teaching R and the Tidyverse tools, and shared valuable insights into how data analytics is actually applied in the industry. As someone who is relatively new to the data analytics field, I found his industry perspectives especially valuable. He gives practical perspectives on the skills, expectations, and continuous learning needed to progress in this field. He also took the time to share additional learning resources and introduce me to a social network of data scientists, giving me opportunities to continue learning even after the training has ended. Overall, I found Dr Alvin to be an engaging, practical, and supportive trainer with strong industry knowledge.
I had the opportunity to attend Dr Alvin Ang's Data Analytics with R course, and I enjoyed the class a lot. Dr Alvin Ang was able to explain R concepts very clearly and answer our questions promptly. His teaching style was very engaging (he includes some witty humour during the class from time to time). I would recommend anybody who wants to learn a skill to come sign up for a course at Tertiary Courses Singapore.
Dr Alvin Ang, I enjoy the statistics, because it gives me ideals how to do the work. This is my second course with Tertiary Courses Singapore. Dr. Alvin Ang's Excel Power Query and Power Pivot class was clear, practical, and very useful for my work.
