Steps to Apply Skills Future Claim

I think finding out how much your participants know in advance of the course would be beneficial. This would avoid covering ground that is already known and help the trainer tailor better.

I found the Google Sheets aspect of the course very useful. However, as a department we are quite advanced with Google Forms and actually in some instances knew more than the trainer. The morning was useful but the afternoon covered areas that were already known (Posted on 3/12/2018)

the trainer went far too fast on the more complicated parts. he didn't seem to recognise that he had 'lost' some of his participants even though I did try to point out to him that when he was doing his instructions he was clicking away from them far to fast, you literally had to blink and you lost the gist

I think he should have worked out what we all wanted to learn and needed before doing his 'standard' presentation and going through parts that were far to advanced which I personally would never use and in my opinion the majority of us would never use. (Posted on 3/9/2018)

The course could have been tailored more to our needs as a department, in terms of how we use Google docs/forms etc. It would have been great if the trainer had asked at the start of the session what we were hoping to get from the course.There was a lot of training on what felt like Excel functions which I wasn't expecting

Elements of the course were very basic and at times I felt that the knowledge of the trainer was no greater than my knowledge levels.
Some of the questions asked were lost in translation.
Perhaps come up with a FAQ sheet for each area of google drive.
Thoroughly investigate the capabilities of the google drive to be able to answer more specific questions.

Perhaps my expectations of the course were for it to be more advanced. Many of our team are self taught and no doubt picked up some useful tips, but a number of people on the course knew all of the content and sometimes more.
The section on google sheets at the beginning was useful. Some of the features of the various applications are similar, so the later in the day it felt we were covering the same steps. (Posted on 3/8/2018)
